The Parish Centre Preschool has been operating in a light airy building in the beautiful grounds of St Andrew’s Church in Lismore for the past 42 years. We are a community not-for-profit organisation with Management provided by both Church and Parent representatives and licensed by the Department of Education, Employment and Training. We cater for up to 29 children 3 to 5 years daily during school terms.
We have a policy of equality of access and inclusion for any family who want to enrol their children in our preschool. Due to our many years of offering an excellent preschool experience we also have a continuity which has some interesting outcomes. We have class photos dating back to the late 1970’s and I have often heard prospective new parents carefully studying these wonderful photos and say “I came here to preschool… Oh look there I am!”
The educational changes which have evolved over the years in line with NSW and Federal Curriculum requirements always ensure that our service reflects the most up to date research on how children learn. The new Early Years Learning Framework which came into being last year is a wonderful approach revolving around Belonging, Being and Becoming, three powerful concepts to encompass how to create a secure, stimulating and happy environment for children, staff and parents.
If you are interested in enrolling your child please contact us at the preschool and we will be happy to send you an application.
